Subject: [GeneseeBirds-L] Short-eared Owl in Brighton
I was walking yesterday in Buckland Park in Brighton when I saw 2 birds of prey. One was a red-tailed hawk, and I assumed that the other distant bird was also a red-tail. However, when I viewed my photos, I discovered that it was actually a short-eared owl!

In case the attached photo didn’t come through, it can also be seen at https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/265298954.
