That’s a great sound Ivan. Lately I’ve heard Canada Geese and a few Sandhill Cranes at night here. Also saw a couple Turkey Vultures during the day. It appears the Bluebird I had was just moving through last week but…I hope the “resident” birds will return in a few weeks. I have yet to figure out the patterns in this neck of the woods. Bird behavior for feeding and migrating is very different here than at my last home.

Subject: [birders] Tundra Swans?
Last night at about quarter after 10 I stepped outside with the dog and heard a calling in the distance that I didn’t recognize. So on a lark (no pun intended), I pulled out Merlin and was very surprised to see it almost immediately come up tundra swan. I would appreciate another set of ears on this, so I’ve attached the audio file. Do you agree?
