My wife & kids barely tolerate my love of birding, mocking me by pointing at any and all easily recognizable species and saying "it's a bird". well apparently I COMPLETELY missed this whole internet phenomenon in Big Bear, because I found it yesterday, mentioned it, and now my wife & kids are calling me a "bandwagon birder". Seems that they've been aware of this for some time now, watched some chicks hatch last week & a feeding, and now know that eagles are 105 internally & have 7000 feathers....on and on. It's so annoying. I wish they would just talk about anything else :-)
