At the usual spot on Pawnee Rd. at the bridge on the north side of Glenn Cunningham Lake, 4 lazy, widely separated Woodcocks spent the moonlit evening peenting but staying put. No flight displays. I expect that will change in the coming days. This spot appears to perhaps be the most reliable area in this part of NE for this bird. I ran into a birder named Eugene who was happy about finding the Glaucous Gull at Pawnee Lake today, the gull having made the short jaunt from Branched Oak.
