Subject: Longspurs at Swan Lake NWR, Chariton County
Following up on a report from Jacob T yesterday,  I found a flock of 50+ Smith's Longspurs today. They were in a field that had recently been burned. There were a couple of Lapland Longspurs nearby.  
Had a flock of 200 White Pelicans flyover as well. Saw two Sandhill Cranes in another area The numbers of Waterfowl was considerably lower than last two recent visits.
