Weather: Another beautiful sunny day with temps in the high 50s. Winds WSW shifting to NW in the afternoon.
Raptor Observations: A great day for diversity with 11 different species of raptors! The first bird of the day was the first of the season American Kestrel. Turkey Vultures were the most abundant species with 84 individuals. Red-shouldered Hawks were also numorouse with 26 individuals. The highlight of the day was a Golden Eagle that flew over the platform providing us with some great views! We also saw 3 different Rough-legged Hawks, although they were not as accommodating as the Golden Eagle.
Non-raptor Observations: Lot of Canada Geese were moving, but unlike the past couple days, we only saw one small flock of Snow Geese.
Predictions: Overcast, high of 33F. Winds ENE at 10-20mph. Not good conditions for migration, I doubt anything will move. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Maili Waters (<mailirwaters...>) Braddock Bay information may be found at: http://www.bbrr.org/
