Weather: Partly cloudy; 39-65 degrees; good visibility; winds light often with a southwest component, 0-7 mph
Raptor Observations: Seven species today with a nice run of 7 Red-shouldered Hawks. A Merlin perched for a couple of hours in the top of a dead tree across the pond.
Non-raptor Observations: Pied-billed Grebe, 22 Surf Scoters, several skeins of migrating Canada Geese totaling almost 900 individuals
Site Description Fort Smallwood Park is located on the western shore of Chesapeake Bay at the mouth of the Patapsco River, 11 miles south of Baltimore, MD. Best winds are from the southwest.
