- Checklist: https://ebird.org/checklist/S217607161
- Media: 4 Photos
- Comments: "The amount of heavy, dark striping on the back is why I’m posting this as a Sagebrush. The malars, which appeared paler depending on the angle of the bird, seemed on the borderline of being too dark and thick (except in the thin upper malars), however I’m also seeing a lot of variation on eBird records. Same with the thickness to each back stripe, thinner than the thicker back stripes on recent individuals found in the Carrizo in January, which sometimes also appears thin in other eBird records. With the recent irruption of these birds, I felt this individual warranted an inspection by the moderator, rather than to list as Sagebrush/Bell’s. This bird also seemed to contrast with the nearby Bell’s. Photos."
