When I found the Owl three weeks ago, I actually thought there was a second as the tooting was close, but not constant or that owl was moving around undetected. I would suggest that enough visits have been made and they are likely nesting or trying to. I have not been back in there myself since the original sighting. My eBird lists don’t go out on alerts as the result of a birder some ten years ago following me for several days just based on the alert system in a rather remote part of the country, but are publicly accessible if you do data mine within eBird. This constant visiting is also why some species are no longer visible within eBird. I may just have to utilize hidden checklists much more frequently in the future.
