Weather: Partly cloudy in the morning turning into mostly sunny in the afternoon. Temps in the low 30s. Winds WNW shifting to west at 20-30mph.
Raptor Observations: Not many birds came close to the parking lot today except for a local displaying Cooper's Hawk (I spent the day hiding from the wind in my car!). The migrant birds we did see were distant and had to be scoped. Turkey Vultures trickled past all day and the occasional Red-tailed Hawk or Bald Eagle would move through pushed by the strong west winds. The highlight for the day was a Rough-legged Hawk that flew by to the west of us, heading southeast.
Non-raptor Observations: Snow Geese were on the move in smaller flocks totalling just over 400.
Predictions: Mostly cloudy with west winds at 20-30mph. Highs in low 40s. I'm expecting similar low numbers of birds as today. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Maili Waters (<mailirwaters...>) Braddock Bay information may be found at: http://www.bbrr.org/
