I birded here today from 12:15-3:50. I enter at the intersection of Riverside Ave. and Vine Rock Rd. (you will know it when you see it, although there is another intersection of these same two streets down by the Charles River, which is confusing.) The entrance is just a simple opening in the fence. You immediately plunge down into the wildness, truly amazing!
Wood Duck 2 Green-winged Teal 1 Common Merganser 54 surely many more Hooded Merganser 4 Bufflehead 4 Red-shouldered Hawk 1 Turkey Vulture 1 F.O.Y. Hairy Woodpecker 1 Fish Crow 1+ F.O.Y. Brown Creeper 1 Golden-crowned Kinglet 2+ Winter Wren 1 in the most reliable spot to see this species here (or at least hear it) Fox Sparrow 1 seen and heard singing in dense thicket White-throated Sparrow 3 Eastern Towhee 2 close to each other dense thicket Common Grackle 10 Red-winged Blackbird 8
