Subject: [ia-bird] Red-wing Blackbirds
Am watching a flock of about 30 RW Blackbirds at a distant neighbor's
feeder. They feed a seed mix, and I assumed they were starlings until I got
out the binoculars. A bit unusual to see Redwings hunkered down, and trying
to stay out of the wind and blowing snow, when not actively feeding.
