Subject: [MASSBIRD] moderator - Birding Ethics and Conduct
Migrants are on their way!

Birding is for everyone.

The Brookline Bird Club Code of Ethics and Conduct says this well:
“Respect and welcome all participants and fellow birders regardless of
race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, gender identity, age,
disability status, sexual orientation, or political affiliation.”

Birding is for everyone. In the field and as you post to this list,
please show respect for the diversity of our community.Discrimination
shouldn’t be tolerated.Respect people as they are. This is especially
important for those in the LGBTQ+ community.

As we welcome new people to birds and to birding, we share our values of
respecting wild things and wild places. We promote the need for
conservation and protection of public and private places, as well as for
protection and funding for our public lands.

In today’s turbulent world, standing up for these values is paramount.

Thanks for your support of massbird!
