Subject: American Pipit
We saw a rather large flock ( 40-45) of American Pipits yesterday afternoon (2-4PM) at Lake Arcadia on the grassy area at the north end of the dam. They were in the grass along the paths the fishermen have made there to get down to the water.
They moved a lot as we approached, but we managed to get within 30 feet of them. The finally moved up and over the dam to the east side. Most were feeding in the grass but a few on the rocks closer to the water.
