Last Friday along Alviso Slough there were many goldeneyes, mostly Commons, and mostly females. There was one obvious female Barrow's with a bright orange/yellow bill. There were also 2 or 3 females with all yellowish bills that weren't bright. The foreheads of the birds also seemed to come down at a greater angle than Commons. I've attached a photo that shows 2 of said birds and I'm looking for identification help.
Do not disclose information that identifies the location of nesting birds of any species, to minimize stress on the nesting birds and the risk of vandalism or abuse.
