Driving up to Boone this morning and had to do a double back on road. Small pod of Lesser White fronted geese, maybe 15 on sewage ponds south of Slater Iowa. No where to pull off so pictures were taken as traffic was honking at me. I doubled back twice and they had taken off. Sewage ponds had a ton of birds on them but nowhere to park safely. Best photo I could crop from photos driving by. Just one of those drive by “I know that migrant.”
