Thatâs absolutely correct Glenn. THE Ross's Gull, the 'holy grail' of gulls for birders, was indeed actually first reported almost two months earlier than the Miliotis and Buckley report by my old friends Phil Parsons and Herman Weissberg. The lost history of this event is the fact Herman Weisburg and Paul Miliotis ID'd this bird as early as late January. No one even looked for it as far as I know.
