Subject: Ferruginous Hawk
I drove out 122nd to the bridge over the N. Canadian River, just beyond Post Road to search for the reported FRHA that had been reported there in the past week or two. It was an easy spot as the hawk flew across the road in front of me as I approached the bridge.
The hawk flew to the north and then into several large cottonwoods. Good looks. My guess is it may be nesting in the area as well as accessing the local fields and river for food.

Had an extra bird fly in while there. It was a Merlin. Few others as well- E. Meadowlarks, robins.
