Subject: [BostonBirds] Here an Owl There an Owl
Yesterday, after birding in the extensive woods of Roxbury Latin School in West Roxbury as well as the quarry woods, I went over to Stony Brook Reservation.. Last year, I had a Barred Owl with one young there.. I was curious if there would be a sign or sighting in the same area  as last time. Sure enough, at 4:35 p.m., one called one time. Four days ago, in the Medford section of the Middlesex Fells Reservation, around 4:30 p.m., I heard one calling near me. It was easy to see. Another Barred Owl was calling to it not far away. The literature mentions that Barred Owls will call during the daytime
