Good news. The Yellow Grosbeak outside Berryville continues today, and the landowners have opened up several viewing opportunities for folks to come visit this rarity, beginning this Sunday and Monday from 2:30-5 (with no opportunities this Friday or Saturday). There is a $25/person charge -- cash or Venmo/Zelle. If the bird continues, she will offer additional viewing dates and times beginning with Tuesday morning. For your visit, please text (no phone calls) Shianne Hunnicutt in advance at 417-349-2317. She will give you the location at that time. The eBird report should be submitted via the "stakeout Yellow Grosbeak" location (which is not their actual address). Because they have a working farm with livestock, small dogs (with French Bulldogs and Corgy pups for sale) and human children (not for sale), they are asking people to follow these access protocols. It is not possible to see the bird from the main road and any other access would be considered a trespass.Since there will likely be a number of people from various states coming to see this bird, please understand if Shianne limits the number of people or length of time we can stay. She's very delightful and friendly, just busy with all their other responsibilities. Patty McLean and Michael Linz The Roadrunners
