Greater Pewee (Contopus pertinax) (1) CONFIRMED

- Comments: "Continuing, Pewee, not flicking tail. Orange lower mandible, wispy crest on back of head. No eyering. Tail flaring out with shallow notch. Wings extend halfway beyond covert to end of tail. Greyish overall from underneath view. Middle of breast lightens up a bit. Couldnt discern any yellowing on breast, as some Greater Pewees have. Foraging over creek from bare branches of two neighboring Eucalyptus trees, about halfway to two-thirds up. Observed for 20 min. regularly foraying out and returning to same area of trees over the creek where you can hop rocks across to north bank that has 'Danger No Tresspassing' sign across creek. Photos."

- Comments: "Continuing rarity seen in its usual area on the inside of the campground fence opposite the traffic circle entrance on Palm Ave. With a flock of White-crowned Sparrows. A grayish towhee with a rufous crown, white throat, and pale yellow-green wings."
