Heard kinglet-like repetitive "kek". Clean view on road side of the willow thicket. White above and behind eye. Clean throat - lacking gorget- similiar in color to "eyebrow". Relatively wide bill with orange lower mandible."

- Comments: "Possibly the continuing rarity last reported on Dec. 17th. An active phoebe flycatching over the stream, frequent wagging of the tail when perched, small all dark bill and dark head with a white throat. No vocalizations. I watched it for about half an hour before losing track of it. At the second stone bridge creek crossing from the south San Leandro entrance approximately here: 34.431521, -119.621931"

Seen before we got out of the car; an unmistakable bright red, blue, and green bird in the top of the willows west of the Sanitary District offices. Flew away toward Carpinteria Creek before I could get photos."
