Subject: [SanDiegoRegionBirding] Long Tailed Duck continues on East side of I-5 at San Elijo Lagoon
Apologies for the late report, but the Long Tail Duck that Eve and Rob
Martin found at San Elijo Lagoon continued this afternoon. We saw it first
on the West side of the 5 at around 2:30 pm, but only very briefly before
losing it. We refound it just over the east edge of the overpass along the
North side near the rocks at about 3:15. It looked to be in company with a
couple Ruddy Ducks and was diving frequently.

Happy birding,
Mike and Tera

The monthly meetings of San Diego Field Ornithologists (SDFO) are currently virtual, open only to members, at 6pm on the third Tuesday of every month.

Two notable on-line resources are available for San Diego birders: the San Diego County Bird Atlas by Phil Unitt (2004) - http://sdplantatlas.org/BirdAtlas/BirdPages.aspx ; and an update of notable records for San Diego County (2002–present), compiled by Paul Lehman - https://bvaudubon.org/birding-resources/ .
