Subject: [CT Birds] Re Eastern Towhees
Last Spring and summer we had several Towhees, both male and female, on a regular basis.  So frequently that I had hoped they would nest in the area.  But there never was any sign of young ones around.  This winter we have a pair of males under the feeder almost everyday.  And a single female shows up once and a while.  I always thought this was normal until I recently saw a few people reporting they were lucky to see any, and rarely.  Curious as to why they happen to like our yard and feeders?.... maybe just lucky.
