It started off overcast, light rain (early only), cool (low 40's). with a little wind; becoming windier but only slightly warmer (upper 40's) in the afternoon, on the bird survey today. 64 species were found. The highlight today was finding a pair of Crested Caracaras on Red Slough. An hour later I found a pair of Crested Caracaras a mile west of where I had the first pair. Its possible they were a different pair but I am going to have to assume they were the same birds. I also observed them copulating so this may mean they will be nesting in the area.
