Subject: [OrangeCountyBirding] Mile Square Park
A flock of about 150 Brown-headed Cowbirds (predominantly females) was a
new presence on the NW side of the park. A first-year Neotropic continued
from 27 Jan with the diminished numbers of Double-cresteds at the NE corner
at the lake. This bird with a whitened foreneck and underparts similar to
the first-year Double-cresteds it roosts with on the island was joined by
another first-year Neotropic doppelganger on 30 Jan. Twenty Violet-green
Swallows and one Cliff Swallow flying above the lake were the first I've
seen.
