Observed from the end of Harford Pier. White face, dark cheek patch, small bill, dark wings and dark back with white sides on the rump as the duck was flying out to the ocean."

Seen just feet from the boardwalk when the tide was very high. Large (both long and thick) bill was slightly pinkish; overall plumage was more pallid brown than is typical of other SASPs. I will add photos tomorrow."
