Counted one-by-one as they were foraging in the grass along Cedarwood Drive, across from the intersection of Cedarwood Drive and Beechwood Drive.

Some individuals with rufous, others with finely streaked brown crown stripes; all with pale median crown stripe; gray face with pale supercilium; black line through the eye; light brown cheeks; pale eye arcs; pale throat; faint dark malar stripe; pale unstreaked breast and belly; brown upper back with dark streaks; two very thin pale wing bars; pink bill with a dark tip; pink legs and feet.

- Comments: "Continuing bird photographed yesterday by the Clayton's seen here today: 35.607673, -120.656297. This was a small sparrow that was similar in size to adjacent Chipping Sparrows, but with a dark line behind the eye did not extend into the lores, a buffy cheek outlined in brown, a buffy breast, a gray, unstreaked neck, and a striped crown. (Photos)"

Brown finely streaked crown; broad pale supercilium; pale lores; complete eye-ring not bisected by an eye-line; small pink bill; pale malar stripe bordered by a thin dark stripe; pale underparts; buffy breast-band with dark center spot; gray nape; buffy rump; brown streaks on upper back; pink legs and feet."
