Barn Owl populations are REALLY hard to monitor as they are nocturnal and make very little noise, so their population estimates/trends are quite uncertain. We have installed boxes for Barn Owls in the northeast part of the state, but we have not had any box occupied yet. Unfortunately, we see more dead barn owls that have gotten hit by cars than alive.
