You weren't kidding when you talked about how confiding the Green-tailed Towhee is at Carpinteria State Beach. I saw it there around 11 AM. A little later I had a quick look at the continuing Yellow-breasted Chat in the dense willows along 6th Street, just before the Painted Bunting stakeout spot.
