We have noticed a decline in the number of goldfinches at our feeders. One is a caged tube feeder and the other is a 3 tiered hanging tray feeder. We are using sunflower hearts. An occasional goldfinch will be seen taking seed from spent flowers in the garden. In years past there has been a sizable flock of the little buggers around the place. Just now, maybe 6 on and off the tube feeder.
