Interesting article. Has anyone ever found snakeskin in a cavity nest? I’m wondering if any nest box projects in our area might have seen this. I haven’t heard any reports from the Quail Hollow project.

From The New York Times:

A museum curator with a ladder showed that birds that build cavity-style nests are able to protect their eggs with the skin shed by snakes.
