As befits the thaw starting. I hope things melt quick. The Fernald winter
Bird festival starts next Saturday! I hit that small pond at Rt. 32 and Half
Acre rds. Clermont county. Half of it is open water! Did I find that Tundra
Swan?? No….. But loaded with Geese, Mallards, Black Ducks, Gadwall, Wigeon,
Pintail.
I heard that the WW Scoter is still on the Ohio River. Plus Canvasback! That’s
A good one for the river.
Hawley Rd. In Clermont was still heavily covered in snow and it looked like
Quite a lot of ice! Those fields are going to be a flooded mess soon! Great!
The birds will love it! I had Horned Larks, but couldn’t find any Longspurs.
I may or may not be out Sunday afternoon. Depends on if I get the first
Game or not! It’s an app thing….
But Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday will be back up in Warren and Clinton!
I feel way behind with my big years.
Good birding all.
