Subject: [MBBIRDS] Possible- unknown pipit, Sprague's Pipit? Moss Landing
Hello all,
I think I may have located a Sprauge’s Pipit in Moss Landing. The first
clue was that I didn’t think it was one of the many American Pipits
frequently seen in the area. Second was overall gist and shape of the bird,
and third was what appears to be splotches and steaks on the back side.
Sun Light was low and awkward and I am not that familiar with this species,
so I may be wrong.

I was able to get video with my iPhone which is not great.
The location was the “Moro Cojo Open Space Conservation Public Access
Easement behind the dumpsters for the (former) Whole Enchilada and the
“Power Plant Coffee” shop.
