Just before dark I scanned the areas in our backyard where I throw out seed for my ground feeders. Mixed in with a bunch of White-throated Sparrows, Cardinals, and a Brown Thrasher was a HARRIS'S SPARROW! New yard bird!! Very surpised to see this particular species. I do have a green space and a lake behind our house which attracts some good birds, plus all my feeders. It's been a while since we've had a new yard bird. Fun!Karen Holliday Maumelle
