Agree. No record for Band-rumped in the Triangle, but yes for Leach’s.
I have to admit that details for most tubenose species well inland after hurricanes has been poor to abysmal. No, I don’t expect photos, as they can be at long distances, in wind or rain, etc. But simply written description. Sadly, most were pre-eBird, which provides a good outlet for written material to be confirmed. Back in the day, it was mostly a sentence or two sent to Chat Briefs editors, etc. —who, like me, accepted if by experienced observers and with credible details. I think that and most other Leach’s inland were poorly described.

> There’s a record on the Birds of North Carolina of a Leach’s Storm-Petrel from 02 September 2006 at Jordan Lake. No reports of Band-rumped from this time frame that I could find. Leach’s are more likely to show up inland after a storm.
