There's a record on the Birds of North Carolina of a Leach's Storm-Petrel from 02 September 2006 at Jordan Lake. No reports of Band-rumped from this time frame that I could find. Leach's are more likely to show up inland after a storm.

Hi All,
i have on my Avisys list that i saw a Band-rumped Storm-Petrel at Ebenezer Point on Jordan Lake, Chatham County, NC, on 3 September 2006. The bird was blown in by Hurricane Ernesto.
There are no records on ebird though. i know i wasn't the only one to see it. Did i get the species wrong?
Thanks for any info,
tom
