Subject: [cobirds] Yellow-bellied Sapsucker Louisville
Birders—
I went out to shovel and heard a familiar call, the “mew” call of the
Yellow-bellied Sapsucker coming from a ponderosa west of my house. I
grabbed my camera and crept through the snow around my house only to have a
Cooper’s Hawk fly over my head.

I could not find the sapsucker; I just hope the Hawk didn’t catch it. I’ll
keep watching….
