I was surprised to see the Northern Pintail, that i had found about four days ago, at the tiny wetland behind Willow Pond. It then went up on the sloped ground and started foraging. Several other ducks were foraging for acorns as well. As an added bonus, the six Wood Ducks that I saw yesterday at Leverret Pond, were now at Willow Pond. They are tricky to see though. This was at 1:15
Northern Pintail 1 same one i had found four days ago at L.P. Wood Duck 6 same general area Ring-necked Duck 4 L.P. Hooded Merganser 9 L.P.
P.S. I cut my ponds trip short in order to go to the nearby library to get the word out. Thus, I did not get to Jamaica Pond. This place is never dull this time of year. One never knows what he or she will find!
