Subject: [cayugabirds-l] “Black birds”
A big flock of what I assumed to be mostly starlings has been eating on and under my bird feeders this morning.
with my failing eyes, I couldn’t quite tell what species, so I took up my binoculars.

~35 male Cowbirds with about 10 females
1 Red-winged Blackbird, male
Only ~10 Starlings
