Subject: [SanDiegoRegionBirding] San Elijo Lagoon (Westside)- Black-and-White Warbler and American Redstart
Hi SD,

Visited the Lagoon (Westside) today for the first time and ran into your famous adult male, Black-and-White Warbler and the Female/immature American Redstart.

Both were last seen in alongside Manchester Ave.

American Redstart :
(33.0128723, -117.2714584) periodically calling as it bounced around in the yellow-leafed Willows that line the dirt path.

Black-and-White:
(33.0121071, -117.2722470) visiting the low trunks of the dead-barked trees. Seen later again at 1325 in a leafless tree by the Manchester entrance (33.0132997, -117.2730040).

Happy Birding,
Sylvia Afable :))

The monthly meetings of San Diego Field Ornithologists (SDFO) are currently virtual, open only to members, at 6pm on the third Tuesday of every month.

Two notable on-line resources are available for San Diego birders: the San Diego County Bird Atlas by Phil Unitt (2004) - http://sdplantatlas.org/BirdAtlas/BirdPages.aspx ; and an update of notable records for San Diego County (2002–present), compiled by Paul Lehman - https://bvaudubon.org/birding-resources/ .
