Today I stopped at Oso Creek at Forbes Road around noon to look for the Wilsons Snipes and Hooded Mergansers that are usually found there, and instead I found devastation. All the vegetation had been hacked down and workers were spraying Round Up on everything that was left. The Snipes and Mergansers were nowhere to be found and the Cinnamon Teals were gathered against a wall. The workers told me that they were given the job by OC Public Works.
