Hi Everyone!
This morning I birded Bear Creek Redwoods. The highlights were several active *Varied Thrush* behind the historic buildings near trail marker 17. They were calling, "singing", a chuppiing. I also heard a *Pileated Woodpecker* somewhere near the buildings but could never find the bird, I think there might even have been two. Also I spotted one *Pine Siskin* near the pond.
Do not disclose information that identifies the location of nesting birds of any species, to minimize stress on the nesting birds and the risk of vandalism or abuse.
