First bird: Adult male: Larger than nearby Brown-headed Cowbirds, Tricolored Blackbirds and European Starlings. Black back, belly and tail; black wings with a white patch; bright yellow head with black lores and orange wash on the crown; yellow chin, throat and upper breast with an faint orange wash; yellow vent; sturdy conical black bill.
Second bird: Possibly immature male: More brownish-black with a paler yellow head and black lores.
