Subject: [sbcobirding] San Rafael
I walked the San Raf Peak-Mission Pine Spring trail this morning to look
for interesting woodpeckers; I didn't find any. There were, however,
bumper crops of Nuthatches and Chickadees. Made me wonder whether the
nearby burned-out terrain has caused the birds to cluster on San Raf.
