Subject: [Ohio-birds] Field birding - Clinton county
Picked up horned lark and longspur
For my big year in Clinton. And Harriers
Around. And the tundra swans were still
At a gravel pit lake hotspot. Nice views
From Gleason rd. But I couldn’t scan
Long - only one lane of the road was
Clear. It was plowed but snow drifts!
And snow plow trucks working the roads. A great area. I will be back many
Times during my big year. Shortie would
Be nice! Tundra swan was a county lifer.

I started in Highland county. The old
Highland stone gravel pits. Picking
Up county birds! A fellow birder found
Stuff I needed. Yea!

Loads of larks around. A scattering of
Longspurs. One meadowlark as I was
Driving. I am going to take advantage of
This snow cover before it disappears.
I need Horned lark for Adams! Plus
Other birds.

Theres waterfowl starting to use the
Ohio River here in Hamilton. I might
Start with a river can.

Good birding all. Game time!
