Hi All,
This morning I noticed a female type Grosbeak in our backyard which looked good for a Rose-breasted Grosbeak. I called Malia out and we had nice looks as it fed on berries in our bushes and seed on a low wall.
The bill was strikingly pale pink on both the upper and lower mandible, the head was boldly patterned, and it had fairly coarse streaking across the breast.
This winter we have also had an interesting very red Song Sparrow in the yard.
Any thoughts on either bird are welcome.
