My husband and I were out shooting snow scenes this morning. As we drove up Riverfront Drive near the new Marshals Museum we started seeing birds in the road. They’d fly up and back down in front of us until we turned off. I hopped out of the car, stopping the police officer that was behind us, to get a few shots. It was at least three dozen American Pipits along with a few Killdeer. When we left the museum they were still in the road. Of course there was no open fields so there was no place for them but in the open tracks on the road. It was pretty cool to see.
