A Greater Roadrunner is still in our yard in northern Pawnee county and we were wondering what it was eating. Thursday, 9 January 2025 I observed the bird perched in a pyracantha bush near a bird feeder, then it grabbed and swallowed a house sparrow! Then a red-tailed hawk flew in and proceeded to chase the roadrunner around on the ground. It was quite a spectacle!
