Timely presentation from WOS last night re bird strikes & need for more reporting via DBird.org if you see a dead bird. We were returning from a successful chase for the Arctic Loon in Port Angeles. Just after we left 101 for 104 East, a truck driving ahead of us struck a juvenile eagle. The bird ended up off the road in a safe pull-off area & we stopped, as did another driver. As we were trying to locate an animal rescue, the eagle died (from visual, it most likely broke its neck). We contacted both the local tribe & the state police. Police rep came first. They dispatched WDFW. But I also reported it on DBird.org. So, thanks for that info, & spread the word!
